Dorit Yeyni, dancer, choreographer and costume designer begun her career by participating in Yael Moav and Rachel Milstein's lessons. Later on she co-founded with Yael the 'Arabesque' dance centre where she became a senior teacher and where she taught until the summer of 2007.
Yael and Dorit founded the 'Kadin' dance group and Dorit became the group's art director and costume designer.

Over the past 11 years, Dorit has also been directing the oriental dance at 'Muza' centre at Pisgat Zeev's community centre.  The orientation is slowly developing into one of north Jerusalem's most important oriental dance centres, offering quality dance lessons and workshops, for girls and women.
In the summer of 2007, Dorit left "Arabesque" and founded the belly dance orientation at Efron Dance Centre Hora Jerusalem. In addition to a monthly free session for women, the Centre offers lessons for beginners, advanced and professionals.

Dorit is also the founder and choreographer of the Jerusalem based Belly Dance group 'Isis'. Dorit also designs the group's costumes. In December 2007 Isis had its national debut at Beit Shmuel and procedures were donated to the Association of Rape Crisis Centres in Israel.
'Isis' dance group is composed of women of all ages and from all walks of life who have a shared passion for oriental dancing. This passion is shared with the audience with a high level of joyous energy and fun that are so characteristic of this style of dance.
The group has a vast repertoire of dances which varies from classic Arabic dance to modern oriental dance. Dancers such as Tamar Bar, Gill Fifi Nes and Nava Aharoni have been invited by Dorit to create new choreographies for 'Isis'. (Izis Photo Gallery)

Dorit has perfected her style by participating in many workshops both in Israel and abroad; Gamila, Leila Hada and Camellia in Paris, Melisjan in South of France and Serena Wilson in the USA to name but a few.  She also participates in the annual International Belly Dance Festival in Cairo where she has opportunity to attend the workshops of the finest teachers such as Zaza Hassan, Raia Hassan, Frida Fahami, Mahmud Rada, Momo Kados, Dina, Renada Camal and others.

Dorit's unique style is rooted in and inspired by Latino Americano dance and Israeli folklore. Dorit danced with Hora Rishonim, an Israeli folkdance group, and performed in countries such as Russia, Finland, France, Netherlands and Turkey. Dorit is a member of the Israeli Ballroom Dance Association and she and her partner have won the Israeli Championship for Seniors four times and have represented Israel in Italy, Netherlands, Belgium and England.
